V1
Sitting in my cage feeling far from free
Thinking to myself, what the hell is wrong with me
I know I need to heal, and I’m starting to believe
that the things I use to keep me safe are slowly kiling me
Chorus
You don’t have to be good
it’s ok to feel misunderstood
stand firm in your knowing, you are ready to heal
I love you, keep going
V2
As fierce as the ocean, as calm as the sea
I know I am changing though I can’t always see
Cause I’m in this cocoon, and blind are my eyes
just give me a minute, you might be surprised
Chorus
You don’t have to be good
it’s ok to feel misunderstood
stand firm in your knowing, you are ready to heal
I love you, keep going
Bridge
Through honestly, pain and hard work
our souls will set us free
I’m perfectly imperfect, and thats just fine with me
Chorus
You don’t have to be good
it’s ok to feel misunderstood
stand firm in your knowing, you are ready to heal
I love you, keep going
I love you, keep going
I love you, keep going
